Job description

The Senior Proposal Specialist role in our Product Marketing and Sales Enablement team at Talogy is responsible for providing support across the organization in relation to bid strategy development, proposal management, risk assessment, client engagement, and continuous improvement in our approaches to bids.
Core Skills and Responsibilities
The daily impact of this role is characterized by (though not limited to) the following core skills and tasks:
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand client requirements and develop winning bid strategies.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and client needs to tailor proposals that align with our consultancy's strengths.
  • Manage and coordinate end-to-end bid activities for assigned pursuits, escalating strategic decisions, risks, and exceptions as appropriate.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to gather relevant information and incorporate it into compelling proposals.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments on potential bids, identifying potential challenges, and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure all proposals adhere to industry regulations and internal policies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the bid process, addressing queries and providing additional information as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Account Management teams to understand client expectations and deliver tailored proposals.
  • Engage with Finance teams to develop competitive and profitable pricing strategies.
  • Ensure that all proposals align with the client's budget constraints while maximizing revenue opportunities.
  • Monitor the performance of bids and gather feedback to implement continuous improvements in the bid management process.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the RFP response library, ensuring content accuracy, compliance, and alignment with organizational messaging and capabilities
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging trends, and technological advancements to enhance bid management capabilities.

Background Requirements and Preferred Experience
The following qualifications and experiences are considered foundational requirements for this role:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven experience in bid management, proposal management, pursuit management, or a related field, preferably within the talent management, consulting, professional services, or human capital industry.
Three (3) or more years of experience responding to public sector RFPs and managing complex proposal submissions.
Experience supporting Federal, state, local, or other public sector procurement processes and compliance requirements, preferred.
Experience managing large, complex, or multinational tenders involving multiple stakeholders, business units, and geographic regions, preferred.
Strong understanding of the bid lifecycle, proposal development methodologies, revenue operations, and commercial considerations.
Exceptional written, editing, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
Proficiency with Loopio or similar RFP/proposal management platforms preferred.
