About the Role:
 
A BICSI Certified Technician is responsible for supporting the installation, maintenance, and organization of critical infrastructure inside commercial and hyperscale data centers. This role focuses on structured cabling, rack and stack, equipment installation, and maintaining clean, organized white space environments. Technicians work in mission critical facilities and must adhere to strict safety, security, and quality standards.
 
This role requires an Installer 1 minimum certification.
 
Specific Responsibilities:
 
  • Pull, route, dress, label, and terminate structured cabling
  • Install copper and fiber cabling throughout the data center
  • Assist with rack, cabinet, and pathway installations
  • Maintain proper cable management and organization
  • Perform installations according to project specifications and industry standards
  • Follow all data center safety and security requirements
 
Required Qualifications:
  • MUST have a current BICSI certification – Installer 1 at minimum
  • Data center and/or commercial structured cabling experience
  • Experience installing, routing, dressing, and terminating Cat5e/Cat6 cabling
  • Fiber optic cabling experience
  • Experience with cable tray, ladder rack, J-hooks, racks, cabinets, and other pathway systems
  • Ability to properly label and organize cabling
  • Experience working in IDF/MDF environments
  • Ability to read prints, floor plans, and follow project specifications
  • Comfortable working from ladders and/or lifts
  • Must have required PPE and basic hand tools
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work Monday–Saturday schedule
  • Strong attention to jobsite safety and quality
