Job description

The BICSI Instructor delivers hands-on and classroom-based training aligned with BICSI Installer 1 standards. This role prepares students for entry-level careers in telecommunications, structured cabling, data centers, and network infrastructure.
The instructor teaches foundational skills in fiber optic and copper installation, including cable routing, termination, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting. Emphasis is placed on safety, industry standards, and real-world application to ensure students are job-ready.
Preferred Credentials
  • BICSI Installer 1 (INST1)
  • OSHA 10 or equivalent safety training

Roles and responsibilities
  • Deliver instruction on BICSI Installer 1 (INST1) concepts and competencies
  • Provide hands-on training in:
  • Fiber optic cable installation and basic splicing
  • Copper cabling (UTP/STP) installation and termination
  • Cable management, pathways, and spaces
  • Testing, troubleshooting, and documentation
  • Ensure students understand industry standards (BICSI, NEC, OSHA, TIA/EIA)
  • Maintain a safe learning environment with proper tools and equipment usage
  • Evaluate student progress and provide feedback to support certification readiness
  • Integrate real-world scenarios to prepare students for job site expectations

Requirements
An associate's degree in related field preferred. Minimum of 2-3 years of documented work experience in the ICT field. Additional Training is provided to obtain Certifications.
