Job description

Crossroads Bible Church is seeking a creative, organized, and collaborative
Communications Intern to support our Communications Team in sharing what God is
doing in the life of our church. We are looking for someone who wants to use their creative
gifts to serve the local church, grow professionally, and help people encounter the story
and message of Jesus through compelling communication.
This role will provide hands-on experience in digital media, social media, photography,
graphic design, physical printing, and church communications. The Communications
Intern will work closely with the Communications Team to share compelling stories and
communicate ministry initiatives clearly and creatively, while ensuring all content reflects
the mission, values, and visual identity of Crossroads Bible Church.
This is a seasonal internship for Fall 2026-Spring 2027, with the potential for extension
based on ministry needs, performance, and mutual fit.


Internship Details
Paid internship for applicants age 19+ or who have completed one year of college.
Students may complete the internship for high school or college credit (however,
academic-credit internships are unpaid).
Up to 24 hours per week
In-person at Crossroads Bible Church
Regular schedule: Tuesday-Thursday, 9:00 AM-5:30 PM
Weekly hours may be flexed as needed based on ministry events, project deadlines,
and communication priorities
Occasional evenings or weekends may be needed for special events, photography,
video production, or church-wide initiatives


What You'll Do
Communications & Ministry Support
Assist with weekly communications projects and help ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
Collaborate with church staff and ministry leads to create communication materials to help support ministry initiatives and needs.
Support communications for church-wide events, seasonal initiatives (particularly Fall Festival, Christmas, Good Friday, and Easter), sermon series, and ministry programs.
Use in-house printing to professionally produce sermon notes, handouts, posters, and other printed communication materials.
Help ensure communications are clear, accurate, visually consistent, and aligned with Crossroads' mission and brand.


Digital Media & Content Creation
Create and publish content for social media, the church website, email campaigns, and other digital communication channels.
Assist with developing engaging content that promotes ministry initiatives, events, and church-wide priorities.
Support basic graphic design and digital content needs using established church branding.
Photography
Capture and edit photography for church services, events, ministries, and storytelling.


Team Collaboration
Work closely with the Communications Team on creative projects, brainstorming, content planning, and project execution.
Receive coaching and feedback while developing skills in digital media, communication, storytelling, and creative production.
Contribute to a collaborative, encouraging, and excellence-oriented team environment.


What We're Looking For
Required
A growing relationship with Jesus Christ and desire to serve the local church through creative communication.
Strong interest in communications, marketing, digital media, photography, videography, graphic design, or related creative field.
Basic experience with graphic design, social media, and photography
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Ability to receive feedback, work collaboratively, and take initiative.
Commitment to Crossroads Bible Church's mission, values, and statement of faith.


Preferred
Pursuing or recently completed coursework in communications, marketing, media, graphic design, photography, or related field.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, or Premiere Pro.
Experience creating content for Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, or other social platforms.
Experience with video editing, motion graphics, or photography.
Experience working in a church, nonprofit, ministry, or other mission-driven environment.
Experience using Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive.
