Job Description Job Title: AV Operations Support Technician Location: Richmond, VA Duration: 9 Months + Possibility to Convert to FTE Pay Rate: $35 - $45/HR (W2 Only) Job/Role Description: This role supports the operation, maintenance, and performance of workplace audio/visual (AV) infrastructure and conference room technologies. Support, maintain, and optimize AV infrastructure, including hardware configuration, break/fix support, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance. Serve as a subject matter expert for the Zoom ecosystem, including Zoom Rooms, Zoom Device Management, and Zoom Digital Signage.

Troubleshoot AV hardware, conferencing systems, controllers, audio processing equipment, and related infrastructure. Support video conferencing and Zoom meetings to provide a reliable and seamless user experience. Manage ITIL-based incident workflows, including documenting, tracking, escalating, and resolving technical issues.

Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for AV systems, devices, and related technology. Maintain accurate AV hardware and asset inventory records. Diagnose issues involving conference room equipment, networking, desktop platforms, operating systems, and supporting infrastructure.

Collaborate with technical teams and end users to identify and resolve AV-related problems. This is a full-time, onsite position Monday through Friday. Participate in occasional on-call assignments, including after-hours and weekend support as needed.

Must be able to work onsite in the West Creek area of Richmond and travel to other nearby Richmond locations as needed. Required Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification At least 1 year of technical support or IT operations experience At least 1 year of experience supporting IT systems, networking, and infrastructure At least 1 year of experience working with desktop platforms and operating systems At least 1 year of experience with incident management and reporting tools Foundational understanding of networking concepts and infrastructure Experience troubleshooting technical hardware and related systems Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to provide onsite technical support in a fast-paced business environment Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to participate in occasional after-hours and weekend support Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting enterprise audio/visual or conference room environments Experience with Poly conference room equipment Experience with Biamp audio systems Experience with Crestron AV systems and controllers Experience with Audio DSPs and audio signal processing Experience with Zoom and Zoom Rooms Experience with Zoom Device Management Experience with Zoom Digital Signage Experience with ITIL incident management processes Experience performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Experience maintaining technical hardware or asset inventory systems
