Duties: To assist with the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) archaeological collections housed at the University of New Mexico's Maxwell Museum of Anthropology. Duties include organizing archaeological collections by identifying, sorting, tagging, and re-housing artifacts, and performing artifact data entry for BIA collections.
Other duties as assigned. Minimum qualifications: Undergraduate student in anthropology or an allied field. Prior course work, training, experience, or other knowledge of the material culture of New Mexico.
Competent using Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to lift 40 lbs. boxes and ground stone, work in dusty spaces, and perform other moderate physical activities.
Minimum Qualifications Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress. Preferred Qualifications Preferred qualifications: Graduate level student in anthropology with experience cataloguing archaeological collections consisting of material culture from New Mexico.
