Production Manager — Commercial & Residential Coatings
Dallas–Fort Worth, TX · Full-Time · On-site / Field-based

About Nomad
Nomad Coatings and Nomad Painting deliver commercial, industrial, and residential coatings across Texas. Our vision is to be one of Texas's most trusted coatings partners — delivering predictable results through systems, integrity, and teamwork. We're built on four values: Own Your Mistakes, Support Each Other, Always Be Learning, and Take Care of Customers.

The Role
As Production Manager, you own the execution of every promise we make to our customers. From pre-production handoff through final walkthrough, you plan the work, run the crews, protect the margin, and make sure each job finishes on time, on budget, and to the Nomad Standard. You report directly to the Owner/General Manager.
What You'll Own

  • Deliver to the company's annual production target through forecasting, scheduling, and capacity planning.
  • Protect profitability: maintain strong gross margins through cost control, waste reduction, and subcontractor rate management.
  • Keep projects on track: high on-time, on-budget completion with proactive variance management and clean change-order documentation.
  • Lead the customer experience: walkthroughs, sign-offs, and fast issue resolution to sustain high satisfaction.
  • Run safe, organized job sites — enforce PPE, safety SOPs, and quality checklists.
  • Build the crew: recruit, vet, onboard, train, and evaluate subcontractors to the Nomad Standard.
  • Keep our systems accurate: daily CRM/PM updates, photo documentation, and completion-based payment approvals.
What You Bring

  • Proven production or operations management experience in painting, coatings, or construction trades.
  • A track record of hitting revenue targets while holding margin.
  • Strong financial fluency — comfortable with gross margin, Budget vs. Actual, and labor burden analysis.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and field crews.
  • Disciplined use of CRM and project-management software.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel across DFW job sites.
  • Responsiveness, reliability, and genuine ownership.
Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary, paid biweekly.
  • Performance-based production and quarterly margin bonuses.
  • Company vehicle, fuel, and auto insurance.
  • Company phone, laptop/tablet, and branded apparel.
  • Paid vacation and quarterly PTO.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday–Friday, within standard business hours. Hours may vary with season and project demand.
