Job description

Paraprofessional-Library

The job of Paraprofessional-Library is done for the purposes of providing support to the instructional program, with specific responsibilities for maintaining the library collections of books and instructional materials; selecting appropriate resources for use by teachers utilizing library resources; performing clerical functions; supporting students and staff in using library resources; and assisting BHMS and BHHS students and staff during WIN and FLEX times.

Duties: 


  • Provide basic circulation and book shelving services, including purchasing of new books.
  • Support students in finding reading materials.
  • Assist with basic Chromebook management and troubleshooting.
  • Supervise the circulation and organization of resources, library materials, and technology.
  • Supervise the library space and support students in a safe and productive environment.
  • General support of the administrative assistants and teachers at both BHMS and BHHS as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Operate under the paraprofessional pay scale and expectations.
