Tech - Solder L1Description

Summary

The MB Solder Tech is responsible for all solder work assignments ranging from solder rework, connector repair, SMT, through-hole components and BGA support based on project needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other Duties not listed may be assigned.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Perform solder work based on rework/repair requirements.

  • Follow rework and repair instructions and operational procedures.

  • Check for CID and make sure the MB is good before solder work is performed.

  • Check for excessive flux residue and solder and clean using alcohol and cloth.

  • Check and fix for cold and short solder pads.

  • Check and fix for Solder Bridge.

  • Check and fix for shifted pads and pins.

  • Check for correct polarity.

  • Brush properly to remove the solder splash and balls.

  • Make sure the MB is clean before moving to the next station.

  • Organize good parts and separate them with non-conforming parts.

  • Meet and exceed KPI defined to meet the business and operational requirement.

  • Turn in KPI report on time, end of the working day.

  • Check and keep records for ESD Audit daily.

  • Follow 5S standard.

  • Utilize the company's time to be efficient and productive. This includes punctuality from break and personal matters.

  • When required, work assignments can change based on project needs like inspection, testing, data input.

  • Meet KPI levels for Tech L1 - Solder: solder 40 components/day.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education or Experience or Demonstrated Skill Set

Essential Skills:

  • Over 6 Months experience is necessary.

  • IPC certified preferred, STC (Soldering Training Certification) is a plus

  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks concurrently, meet deadlines and work independently.

  • Knowledge of using MS Excel to generate reports and read instructions.

  • Must pay attention to details and produce meticulous work.

  • Requires customer service focus and must be a team player

  • Shows determination to achieve excellent results.

  • Needs good attendance and is able to work overtime as required.

  • Requires a demonstrated ability to read and follow written instructions and ideas.

  • Demonstrated skill set while working with Temp Agency

Working Conditions

Must be able to tolerate moderate to high noise levels in a warehouse environment. Office and outside environmental conditions found in the warehouse, hot in the summer, cold in the winter. Individuals may need to walk for an extensive period of time while working and walking the facilities; to reach over shoulder heights; bend or stoop below the waist; repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement; occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
