Additionally, they are responsible for handling payments, restocking their carts, and ensuring compliance with local alcohol service regulations.

What does a beverage cart operator do at a golf course?

Beverage cart operators at a golf course serve food and drinks to members and guests of the course. In this role, you stock your golf cart with food and beverages and drive around a predetermined track around the golf course. You offer patrons snacks, take special requests for drinks, and ensure the course remains clean and free of trash as you drive around. Some details of this job may vary based on the course. For example, if you work at a country club, drinks may be available free to all members and your job is to provide them on request. At public golf courses, you may sell the snacks and drinks while processing cash, card, or electronic transactions. Those who work at large golf courses may occasionally sell beverages to audiences who have come to watch professional games.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a beverage cart attendant on a golf course, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Beverage Cart Attendant on a golf course, you need strong customer service skills, basic math abilities, and often a food handler or alcohol service certification. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and safe food and beverage handling procedures is typically required.
