Work Environment

This role is specifically set within a school context, where you will engage with students and families to support their mental health needs and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate clients' mental health concerns, strengths, and available resources.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and trauma-focused therapy.
• Develop, implement, and monitor personalized treatment plans that clearly identify client goals and therapeutic interventions.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for clients.
• Facilitate crisis intervention strategies and safety planning when addressing urgent client needs.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with ethical and legal guidelines.
• Lead engaging group therapy sessions, psychoeducation workshops, and support group meetings to promote collective healing.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve school-aged clients who may be experiencing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and behavioral challenges. Your interventions will primarily target improving emotional regulation, coping strategies, and social skills, empowering students to thrive both academically and personally. You will also support families by providing guidance and education on mental health issues, fostering a holistic approach to healing.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California is mandatory.
• A minimum of three years of experience in a mental health or outpatient setting is essential.
• Familiarity with various evidence-based therapeutic modalities and treatment approaches.
• Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and assessment skills demonstrated in a clinical setting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within educational settings, providing mental health support to students and families.
• Expertise in trauma-informed care and addressing the unique needs of children and adolescents.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to financial compensation, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including:
