Full-time

Job description

At Side, we believe everyone should own their path.

Side partners with top-producing real estate professionals to help them own and operate their own boutique real estate companies, without the legal, regulatory, or operational complexity of running a traditional brokerage. As a pioneer in the Brokerage-as-a-Service model, Side provides a proprietary platform that increases efficiency, strengthens client relationships, and enables entrepreneurs to focus on what they do best - selling real estate and growing their businesses.

Headquartered in San Francisco and backed by more than $300 million from top-tier venture capital firms, Side is recognized as one of the most innovative and fastest-growing companies in real estate. At Side, you'll work alongside experienced industry leaders and world-class engineers to help shape the future of real estate and empower exceptional professionals to thrive as business owners.

The Managing Broker is central to achieving Side's corporate and Brokerage vision, focusing on transaction management, compliance, market growth, and partner engagement. This role requires expertise in servicing top-producing agents and teams, overseeing Brokerage activity in their markets, and ensuring timely, professional, and compliant operations with all regulations. The Managing Broker actively works to enhance current partner experience and proactively engages with the broader real estate community to build Side's reputation and identify potential new partners.

This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, CA. Candidates should be located in the San Francisco Bay Area and able to work from the office at least two days per week.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  • Serve as the in-market real estate expert and primary partner contact for San Francisco and the greater Bay Area, with a strong emphasis on in-person engagement
  • Maintain consistent on-site presence through partner meetings, brand meetings, trainings, workshops, and local events
  • Provide ongoing partner support via email, phone, text, and virtual sessions, ensuring timely, responsive communication across channels
  • Collaborate with GTM and Sales to drive market growth through local activations, events, and introductions of qualified partner candidates
  • Represent Side at industry events, broker tours, panels, and community gatherings, strengthening brand presence and relationships
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with top agents, teams, and brokerages across Northern California
  • Stay current on DRE regulations, SFAR forms, real estate law, and local housing ordinances, and communicate updates clearly to agents and staff
  • Ensure MLS and Realtor Association membership and compliance across all active markets
  • Act as first point of contact for legal and ethical questions, maintaining a response time of under 12 hours
  • Serve as a cross-functional liaison to resolve agent concerns related to compliance, transactions, and industry requirements
  • Maintain an active leadership presence (1+ role) in local, state, or national real estate associations
WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU A STRONG FIT
  • Based in the SF Bay Area (San Francisco preferred) with a strong, active presence in the local real estate community
  • Deep expertise in SFAR forms, San Francisco-specific transaction practices, and local market dynamics
  • 10+ years of real estate experience, including significant SF Bay Area exposure
  • 5+ years in a Managing Broker or comparable in-market leadership role
  • Strong legal, compliance, and risk mindset, with commitment to staying current on state and local regulations
  • Proven ability to support agents through complex transactions while delivering a high-bar service experience
  • Trusted in-market leader with a proven ability to drive market growth and support recruitment through local credibility, strategic relationships, and close partnership with Sales
  • Customer-first, operator-minded leader motivated by raising standards across the real estate industry
$130,000 - $150,000 a year
