Overview

CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for an IMS Technician.

Type: Contract
Job Title: IMS Technician
Location: Newton, NC (hybrid remote)
Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Newton, NC
Pay Rate: Based on experience
Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm
Education: Associate degree in Computer Science or related field

Description
The IMS Technician will provide technical support for daily operations, assisting with the maintenance and support of IMS systems, hardware, and software solutions. This role will work closely with senior technical staff to gather requirements, support deployments, troubleshoot issues, and maintain documentation to support business operations.

Requirements:
• Assist with day-to-day IMS support activities and technical operations.
• Interact with customers to gather and define system and solution requirements.
• Assist with the deployment and maintenance of IMS devices, printers, scan guns, servers, and related equipment.
• Review and update documentation repositories using SharePoint to support AI enablement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues that may impact business operations.
• Provide support for IMS-related projects and initiatives.

Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in an IT support role, including experience supporting hardware and software components.
• Understanding of server and network infrastructure.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 applications, including SharePoint and OneNote.
• Strong cybersecurity awareness and ability to follow security best practices.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and management.
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
