Description

Markon is seeking a Cryptologic Computer Scientist to support the Fort Meade customer by conducting advanced vulnerability research, reverse engineering, and software development to support mission-critical cyber operations. This role applies computer science principles to analyze complex software and cloud technologies, identify security vulnerabilities, and develop innovative capabilities that enhance Computer Network Operations (CNO). Working within a collaborative research and engineering environment, the Cryptologic Computer Scientist develops technical solutions that strengthen operational effectiveness and support evolving Intelligence Community mission requirements.s. 

Responsibilities
  • Conduct vulnerability research on software applications, operating systems, and cloud-based technologies to identify security weaknesses.
  • Perform reverse engineering of software and binaries to analyze functionality, identify vulnerabilities, and support mission objectives.
  • Design, develop, and maintain software tools that support vulnerability research, analysis, and cyber operations.
  • Analyze software architectures, source code, and system designs to identify security flaws and develop technical solutions.
  • Research emerging technologies and cloud platforms to evaluate operational impacts and security risks.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, cyber operators, and mission stakeholders to develop and integrate advanced cyber capabilities.
  • Support the integration, testing, and operational deployment of research tools and mission applications.
  • Document research findings, technical analyses, and software designs to support knowledge sharing and operational sustainment.
  • Stay current with evolving cyber threats, exploitation techniques, and advancements in computer science and cloud technologies.
Qualifications
  • TS/SCI with Active Polygraph with this Customer.
  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in computer science, software engineering, vulnerability research, reverse engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong experience with software engineering principles and secure software development.
  • Experience performing reverse engineering and vulnerability research on software applications or operating systems.
  • Experience working with cloud technologies and cloud-native environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Computer Network Operations (CNO) tools and operational missions.
  • Experience with exploit development or offensive cyber research.
  • Experience developing software using C/C++, Python, Rust, Go, or similar programming languages.
  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community cyber operations.
  • Experience with Linux internals, virtualization, container technologies, or distributed computing environments.
Salary RangeUSD $175,000.00 - USD $185,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
