Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs, goals, and preferences.
  • Implement evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate effective treatment.
  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to empower them in their recovery journey.
  • Monitor client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations and feedback.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary case meetings, sharing insights with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and best practices regarding mood disorders to enhance treatment methodologies.
  • Adhere to all legal and ethical standards regarding client confidentiality and record-keeping.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Bermuda Center Psychotherapy, you will primarily work with individuals facing mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Your role will also involve offering support to vulnerable groups such as individuals experiencing homelessness, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. Qualifications
  • Must possess a current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
