Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. A successful candidate must have completed a urologyresidency program. Successful candidates must be board certified/eligible in urology. All qualifications must be met by the time of the appointment.
Martinsburg, WV is in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia a little more than an hour from Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, MD and close to three international airports. A rural atmosphere and a lower cost of living mixed with the easy accessibility to the Washington, DC/Baltimore, MD areas make the Eastern Panhandle an ideal place to live. While Berkeley County is the fastest growing county in the state, there is little congestion and traffic. In recent years, a steady influx of urban professionals from nearby Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD have contributed to the growth of local telecommuting and high-tech industries.
The West Virginia University Health System is West Virginia's largest health system and the state's largest employer. The System has undergone significant expansion in specialty and sub-specialty care in areas such as cancer, heart and vascular, and neuroscience, among many others. The Health System operates West Virginia's first and only multi-organ transplant center, and opened a new, 150-bed Children's Hospital in September 2022.
