What is the difference between Benefit vs Compensation?
| Aspect | Benefit | Compensation |
|---|---|---|
| Definition | Non-wage perks provided to employees, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off. | Financial payment or rewards given to employees for their work, including salary, wages, bonuses. |
| Focus | Enhancing employee well-being and job satisfaction | Direct monetary reward for work performed |
| Examples | Health insurance, dental plans, paid leave, wellness programs | Base salary, hourly wages, bonuses, commissions |
