What is a Benchmark Group?

A Benchmark Group refers to a set of companies, organizations, or individuals used as a standard for comparison in performance, processes, or practices within a specific industry or sector. These groups are often selected based on their outstanding achievements, best practices, or industry leadership, and serve as models for others seeking to improve their own operations. Benchmarking against such groups helps organizations identify gaps, set realistic goals, and implement strategies for improvement.
