Benchmark Behavioral Health Solutions is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Counselor to join our team. This full-time role is focused on providing specialized mental health care to individuals who have experienced trauma, enabling them to heal and rebuild their lives. • Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments that evaluate patients' backgrounds and trauma history to form accurate diagnoses.
• Design, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery and resilience building, ensuring they align with each patient’s unique circumstances.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to deliver effective treatment.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that provide patients with a safe space to process their experiences, learn coping strategies, and promote personal healing.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure a well-rounded approach to patient care.
• Provide crisis intervention and support for trauma-related emergencies, employing your expertise to stabilize acute situations.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and resources, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery process.
• Maintain meticulously accurate documentation and records in compliance with ethical and legal standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.
• Participate in regular case consultations and professional development activities, contributing toward shared learning about trauma-informed care.
• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously enhance treatment strategies.

As a Mental Health Counselor at Benchmark Behavioral Health Solutions, your primary focus will be on individuals and families affected by trauma. You will work with patients of all ages, tailoring your approach to address their unique needs and backgrounds. Your role is crucial in creating personalized care plans that acknowledge the complexities of trauma and facilitate healing.

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
• Demonstrated experience in trauma-informed care practices and knowledge of trauma-related disorders.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, with a strong background in trauma-focused therapies.
• Proficient experience utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage documentation and patient care efficiently.
• Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support patient care initiatives.
