As a Warranty Repair Technician, you'll be a hands-on problem solver at the bench-troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and documenting real-world electronics that people rely on every day. What You'll Do
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair analog and digital electronic assemblies at the component level
  • Work on a wide range of products-from car audio systems to advanced safety and security electronics
  • Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and engineering instructions
  • Test electronic units using oscilloscopes, voltmeters, Audio Precision software, and other standard test equipment
  • Analyze test results, calibrate circuits, and verify proper performance
  • Perform soldering and de-soldering on both through-hole and surface-mount components
  • Replace defective or improperly functioning components using hand tools and soldering equipment
  • Set up AC and DC digital tests and perform intermediate hand setups
  • Perform preventative maintenance on test equipment and systems
  • Assemble and install electrical and electronic systems, sub-assemblies, wiring, and enclosures
  • Fabricate and support test fixtures as needed
  • Clean parts and assemblies using approved cleaning solutions and tools
  • Complete work orders for current production and legacy products
  • Perform routine Quality Control checks and correct any defects or non-conformity
  • Document failures, defects, and repairs using HP systems and QC documentation
  • Procure parts, maintain inventory, and ensure accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to plan work, resolve production issues, and maintain adequate supplies

Education
  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) or a Technical Diploma in Electronic Service Technician

  • Intermediate component-level troubleshooting
  • Strong soldering and de-soldering skills (through-hole & SMT)
  • Working knowledge of oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and electronic test equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and test documentation
  • Repair, test, rework, and retest electronic assemblies
  • Test fixture fabrication experience a plus

Computer Skills
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
