The Associate Director, Culture & Employee Engagement serves as a strategic partner and organizational development expert for US Animal Health, responsible for diagnosing cultural and organizational needs and designing interventions that strengthen engagement, belonging, leadership capability, and organizational effectiveness. By leveraging employee listening insights, organizational diagnostics, and alignment to Our Focus, values, and Our Behaviors framework, this role shapes and implements culture, OD, and engagement strategies that enhance sentiment, drive accountability, and prepare the organization for current and future transformation.
The AD, Culture & Employee Engagement will support our enterprise-wide Culture & Belonging initiatives and programs, such as Belonging Forums, Book Clubs, Wellbeing sessions, and annual engagement activities across both AH and HP. In close partnership with the ED, TLO AH, this role will play a key role in shaping and influencing AH specific Culture and Belonging strategies and customizations aligned to business needs. In addition, the position manages a network of AH site engagement leads, curates culture resources, partners closely with Corporate Affairs and Learning, and oversees the implementation of global frameworks and surveys. Through expert coordination, measurement, and storytelling, this role ensures consistent, high-quality cultural experiences that reinforce a thriving, inclusive, and values-driven workplace.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Leads comprehensive culture and engagement diagnostics by evaluating organizational norms, leadership behaviors, and employee sentiment to identify opportunities that strengthen engagement and the overall employee experience in US AH.
  • Designs and recommends targeted and enterprise-wide interventions aligned with Our Behaviors, Our Focus and values framework, partnering closely with OD on implementation.
  • Drives the strategy and execution of employee listening programs-including listening sessions and focus groups-and collaborate with People Analytics to interpret insights from the Pulse Survey, GES, and other feedback mechanisms.
  • Serves as the Implementation Lead for the Global Employee Survey for US AH, ensuring a seamless process and actionable outcomes.
  • In collaboration with HR Business Partner Directors, ensures appropriate follow-through and monitoring of action plans based on survey outcomes.
  • Partners with Learning & OD to design, plan, and execute impactful AH Senior Leader Forums that strengthen alignment, leadership capability, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Supports the implementation of the Senior Leader Forum Engagement Plan, ensuring programming is strategically structured, outcomes-oriented, and connected to broader organizational priorities. Facilitate seamless coordination, communication, and followthrough to maximize leader engagement and reinforce a consistent leadership experience across US AH.
  • In collaboration with Corporate Affairs, designs and proposes US AH-wide annual employee engagement initiatives that foster connection, belonging, and alignment to our culture and strategic business priorities.
  • Leads and develops a network of Site Engagement Leads and culture champions, strengthening local ownership while ensuring a consistent, highquality employee experience across all sites.
  • Provides guidance, resources, and coordination to drive seamless implementation and maximize impact.
  • Collaborates on the ideation, planning, and delivery of Belonging Forums, Book Clubs, and Wellbeing sessions for HP and AH, ensuring all programming is engaging, relevant, and aligned with AH and HP business priorities.
  • Monitors and analyzes participation and engagement metrics across key Culture & Belonging initiatives, transforming insights into meaningful continuous improvement actions and compelling impact storytelling for stakeholders.
  • Provides agile, ad hoc support for Culture & Belonging efforts as needed, adapting quickly to emerging business needs and opportunities to maintain momentum and organizational relevance.
  • Creates, curates, and distributes highquality Culture & Belonging resources that enhance organizational development, strengthen leadership capability, and elevate the overall employee experience.
  • Leads the Professional Networks for AH. Partner closely with US AH Corporate Affairs to highlight and amplify "cultural artifacts"-real examples of Our Behaviors & Values in action-demonstrating how they reinforce Belonging, Accountability, and Customer Focus across the organization.  
  • May provide organizational development support to select business functions as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, Organizational Behavior, or a related field is required; Master's degree and certifications are preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in organizational development, culture and engagement, or related roles, with responsibility for diagnosing organizational issues and designing enterprise level interventions aligned to business strategy.
  • Hands-on experience leading or supporting employee listening strategies, including surveys, focus groups, and qualitative diagnostics, and translating insights into actionable outcomes.
  • Experience partnering cross functionally to deliver scalable, enterprise-wide programs across multiple sites or functions.
  • Exposure to enterprise change, transformation, or capability building initiatives, supporting leaders through ambiguity and organizational evolution.
