Job description

Marriott Myrtle Beach Resort & Spa at Grande Dunes - Overnight Bellman/Valet
An overnight bellman provides 24/7 Guest Service, typically working between 11pm and 7am. Key duties include retrieving/parking valet cars (arriving guests, and returning guests) late-night luggage, providing security, assisting with check-ins/check-outs, delivering items to rooms, and maintaining lobby cleanliness. This role requires high independence, stamina, and excellent customer service.
Core Responsibilities
  • Guest Assistance: Greet arriving/departing guests, assist with luggage, and provide concierge-level information regarding hotel amenities.
  • Overnight Duties: Handle late-night luggage, deliver guest requests (e.g., extra pillows), and assist with early check-outs.
  • Security & Maintenance: Monitor lobby activity for safety, secure entrance doors, and ensure the lobby area remains clean and orderly.
  • Front Desk Support: Assist the night audit team with guest needs and coordinate transportation.
  • Communication: Use two-way radios to communicate with security and the front desk.

Requirements & Skills
  • Physical Stamina: Must be able to lift, carry, and move heavy luggage, and stand or walk for long periods.
  • Independence: Ability to work with minimal supervision during quiet, non-traditional hours.
  • Customer Service: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to handle guest requests with tact.
  • Experience: Previous hotel experience is often preferred, but not always required
