Job Summary
Bell 407 Rotor experience needed for this position. In addition to performing the functions and responsibilities of the specific 145 Repair Station Technician job description at an exceptional level; the Lead Technician will act as a subject matter expert for their maintenance discipline, accepting additional responsibilities as listed below and provide training and mentoring to shop personnel. They will be in charge of leading their individual teams.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:
• Perform all core duties of applicable technician requirements at an exceptional level
• Coordinate with AMC Maintenance Support and Planning Departments to provide support for field maintenance needs
• Oversee and organize specific shop personnel resources and workflow to meet project deadlines
• Provide communications to Engineering Department for specialized shop needs
• Coordinate with AMC Maintenance Support and Planning Departments to provide support for field maintenance needs
• Provide training on 145 maintenance processes and specialized shop equipment
• Report Maintenance Leads and Supervisors on project constraints and progress updates
• Mentor new employees in understanding shop procedures to increase their efficiency and productivity
• Give feedback to Supervisor on employee performance
• Responsible for monitoring, controlling and ordering of material usage in the designated shop.
• Other duties as assigned

• Regular scheduled attendance
• Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling: <5%
Subject to applicable laws and Air Method's policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position. All employees must follow Air Methods' employment practices and policies.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education & Experience
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and eight (8) or more years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Lead experience preferred
• Comprehensive knowledge of AMC part 145 and 135 maintenance requirements and procedures
Skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Efficient in the use of electronic or paper based manuals and able to navigate through vendor data to find necessary information
• Ability to apply comprehensive knowledge of concepts and practices of their specific disciplines skills and their application.
• Ability to work independently or within a team environment.
• Ability to manage several projects concurrently and to work on problems of diverse scope and implement solutions.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the AMC Safety Management System.
Computer Skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Thorough knowledge and ability to utilize of multiple RAMCO functions
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
• FAA A&P or meet requirements to obtain a FAA repairman certificated preferred
