We are seeking a hard-working, genuine, and motivated part-time Bell Staff/Valet who can create a sense of luxury while executing valet parking. We look forward to connecting with you!Position Summary:The Bell Staff and Valet Attendants are our guests' first and last impression of The Cliffs Hotel and Spa. This vital position will consist of upholding our guest experience standards while being the expert on the hotel and local area. This position requires you to provide an MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) with an age requirement of 25 years of age or older to drive a company vehicle and transport hotel guests/passengers. / Or 21 years of age or older to valet and park a hotel guest's vehicle with no passengers inside.How it is important to our mission:By providing a welcoming atmosphere, handling all guest property with care and always being a concierge, all bell staff are instrumental in making sure all are making lasting, happy memories through genuine service and thoughtful amenities.  Essential Functions of the Job:On-site work requiredMust be available to work 2 shifts per weekMust be available to work weekends, nights, and HolidaysMust be able to work flexible hours and weekends based on occupancyGreet and engage all guests with a welcoming, friendly attitude, showing genuine interest and concern for the guest.Must consistently and respectfully personalizes interactions, using the guest's name in accordance with their preference. Communicate with guests in an articulate manner, using correct verbiage and avoiding slangOpening and closing vehicle doors for arriving guestsLuggage assistance is immediately offered curbside. Notifying guests that their luggage will be stored in a secure location. Ensure luggage arrives within 10 minutes of registration completion. Arriving within 8 minutes of the request upon departure or 5 minutes of a prearranged time. Loads and unloads luggage carts and vehicles as needed.Escort guests to room, provide room tour and additional assistance as needed.Demonstrate genuine sense of interest and concern, and/or anticipatory service when appropriate and helpful; guided by The Cliffs' Mission and ValuesAll guest requests must be treated with graciousness, professionalism, and a sense of urgency e.g. running to retrieve a guest's carLoading and unloading luggage carts and vehicles as needed Issuing valet parking tickets and properly marking any existing damage on guest's cars prior to parking. Act in accordance with all company policies regarding vehicle usageSafely Park guest's vehicles in valet lotShare local expertise when making recommendations to guests through providing first-hand knowledge and testimony, providing directions and transportation options when appropriateDrive company vehicles throughout San Luis Obispo County, including daily airport picks ups.Comply fully and consistently with all the hotel conditions of employment and standards of uniform, grooming, and safety measures.All employees are required to train new hires as necessary.
