Job Type: Permanent Full-Time

Salary: $68,000 – $100,000 annually

Job Description:

The Mental Health Specialist (MHS) provides comprehensive clinical treatment services with minimal administrative duties. Working under the supervision of the Director of Outreach Services and/or Clinical Manager, the MHS delivers a wide range of behavioral health services across diverse patient populations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Individual, group, and family psychotherapy
  • Emergency mental health services
  • Information, referral, and community outreach
  • Consumer support services
  • Community education and consultation

The role may also involve working with special populations such as children, elderly, individuals with developmental disabilities, minorities, hearing impaired, and emergency cases, in compliance with Washington state regulations.

Education Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in:
  • Behavioral Science
  • Nursing Science
  • Social Work
  • Or related field from an accredited institution

Licensure (Required – Washington State):

  • LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor)
  • LMFT (Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist)
  • LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker)
  • OR MHP (Mental Health Professional)

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in mental health treatment
  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and direct client care
  • Understanding of community mental health issues and services
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
