Job description

Job Summary:
Elite power Group Homes LLC, direct care staff, provides compassionate support and care to youth residents (11-18) in a behavioral health group home. This role is essential in fostering a safe, nurturing environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social well-being of individuals with behavioral health challenges. Direct Care Staff will assist in implementing treatment plans and provide daily living support to encourage independence and recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Resident Support: Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Behavioral Monitoring: Observe and document residents' behavior, emotional status, and interactions, reporting any concerns to supervisory staff.
  • Crisis Intervention: Implement de-escalation techniques and support residents during crisis situations, ensuring safety and stability.
  • Treatment Plan Implementation: Collaborate with the treatment team to follow and implement individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
  • Group Activities: Facilitate and participate in group activities that promote social interaction, skill development, and recreational opportunities.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of resident progress, incidents, and daily activities, adhering to confidentiality and regulatory standards.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
  • Housekeeping: Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized living environment for residents.
Qualifications:
  • Age: Must be 21 years of age
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in psychology, social work, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in direct care or behavioral health settings preferred.
  • Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification required; crisis intervention training preferred. 
  • Class 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card and background check
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team, and excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility: Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and assist residents as needed.
  • Capability to stand, walk, and engage in physical activities throughout the shift.
