The OMG mission is to empower and equip the American people by presenting investigative journalism and thought-provoking conversation.

Through investigative reporting, undercover journalism, digital media, and audience engagement, O'Keefe Media Group reaches millions of viewers and readers across the country. We are committed to producing journalism that informs the public, holds powerful institutions accountable, and drives meaningful impact.

Position Overview

The Marketing Director is responsible for driving the growth of O'Keefe Media Group by expanding audiences, increasing revenue, and building a loyal community around On the Inside, My Price is My Life, and future media initiatives. This role leads the organization's marketing strategy across organic social media, paid advertising, sponsorship development, merchandise promotion, and subscription growth.

The Marketing Director will develop campaigns that convert viewers into long-term supporters while expanding OMG's reach across YouTube, X, Instagram, Facebook, email, podcasts, and emerging platforms. Experience working in political, investigative, news, or other politically adjacent media is strongly preferred, particularly for candidates who understand how to market content to politically engaged audiences and navigate the unique challenges of this space.

Success in this role is measured by audience growth, revenue generation, sponsorship acquisition, merchandise sales, and sustained membership growth.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that grows the audience across all OMG digital platforms through organic content, paid advertising, partnerships, and promotional campaigns.
  • Build and optimize marketing funnels that convert viewers into subscribers, members, donors, customers, and long-term supporters.
  • Increase paid subscriptions by creating campaigns that strengthen community engagement, member retention, and recurring revenue.
  • Identify, cultivate, negotiate, and secure sponsorships and advertising partnerships that generate meaningful revenue for OMG programming and special projects.
  • Grow merchandise into a significant revenue channel by developing promotional campaigns, coordinating product launches, and integrating merchandise throughout podcasts, live streams, investigations, and social media.
  • Edit and publish engaging short-form video clips, reels, trailers, and promotional content from On the Inside and My Price is My Life across all major social platforms.
  • Identify compelling moments from live streams, interviews, and podcasts that maximize audience engagement, sharing, and subscriber conversion.
  • Plan, execute, and optimize paid advertising campaigns across Meta, YouTube, Google, X, and other platforms to maximize audience growth and return on investment.
  • Develop marketing campaigns that promote investigations, documentaries, events, podcasts, merchandise, memberships, and strategic initiatives.
  • Create compelling copy, headlines, thumbnails, landing pages, email campaigns, and calls-to-action that improve click-through rates, watch time, and conversions.
  • Analyze audience behavior, marketing performance, and revenue metrics to continuously improve campaign effectiveness and marketing strategy.
  • Track key performance indicators including audience growth, sponsorship revenue, merchandise sales, subscription growth, customer acquisition cost, return on ad spend, engagement, and lifetime customer value.
  • Stay current on digital marketing trends, social media algorithms, audience behavior, and emerging technologies to keep OMG at the forefront of digital media growth.
  • Collaborate with leadership, production, journalism, development, and operations teams to ensure marketing initiatives align with organizational priorities and revenue goals.
Key Results
  • Increase monthly audience reach and viewership across all OMG digital platforms through measurable organic and paid marketing growth.
  • Build a sustainable subscription community by increasing paid memberships, improving retention, and strengthening audience engagement.
  • Generate significant recurring sponsorship revenue through strategic brand partnerships and advertising relationships.
  • Grow merchandise into a meaningful and consistently increasing revenue stream.
  • Increase revenue generated from marketing initiatives through improved conversion rates, audience acquisition, and customer lifetime value.
  • Expand brand awareness and establish O'Keefe Media Group as the leading independent investigative media organization in the country.

Compensation

$70,000-$90,000 base salary with a profit-sharing package based on performance.
