LICENSED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL (LCSW, LPC, LCSW) POSITION SUMMARY:

The Licensed Behavioral Health Professional provides mental health assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, and treatment planning services to individuals in a correctional environment. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the Licensed Behavioral Health Professional supports rehabilitation and recovery by addressing behavioral health needs in a secure correctional facility.


LICENSED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL (LCSW, LPC, LCSW) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs individual and group therapeutic interventions as appropriate
  • Assists in planning and implementing the goals and objectives of programs and projects
  • May direct special projects as requested
  • Participates in and conducts in-service trainings/education, as well as assists in the orientation of new staff
  • Documents appropriately in the Electronic Health Record
  • Attends training and meetings as required

LICENSED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL (LCSW, LPC, LCSW) MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a graduate degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
  • MUST be licensed in Kansas (LMSW, LCSW, LMLP, LCP, LCPC, LMFT, LCMFT or equivalent).
