Schedule and Hours
  • We are hiring for a PRN position
  • 8 or 10-hour shifts are available
  • Hours: 8 am-6 pm or 730am-4 pm
  • PRN requirements
  • To work 4 shifts a month
  • This position requires a BLS through the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association.
  • Work a summer and winter holiday if applicable
    • PRN rate: $45.00

Key Responsibilities
  • Therapeutic Interventions:
  • Provide individual and group therapeutic interventions tailored to inmates' mental health needs.
  • Psychosocial Assessments & Intake Evaluations:
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and mental health intake evaluations to identify patients' mental health conditions.
  • Risk Assessments:
  • Perform risk assessments and implement appropriate interventions to ensure patient safety and stability.
  • Behavioral Health Consultation:
  • Offer behavioral health consultation to multi-disciplinary clinical teams and correctional personnel.
  • Crisis Intervention:
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as required during mental health emergencies.
  • Care Coordination:
  • Support and lead care coordination efforts for patients transitioning back to the community and requiring ongoing behavioral health services.
  • Treatment Plans:
  • Initiate, complete, and maintain patient treatment plans to guide ongoing care.
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and update care strategies.
  • Program Development & Implementation:
  • Assist in planning and implementing goals and objectives for clinical programs and projects.
  • Staff Training & Orientation:
  • Lead and participate in in-service training programs and assist in the orientation of new staff members.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Prepare necessary documentation, including treatment records and reports, in compliance with regulations.
  • Infection Control:
  • Adhere to standard precautions and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required to maintain safety.
  • Additional Duties:
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure smooth operations of the facility.

Key Qualifications
  • Educational Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology, or a related Mental Health discipline.
  • Licensure & Certification:
  • Unrestricted, current license in the state of practice, including LCSW, LMHC, or Psychologist.
  • Must maintain all required licensures, certifications, and complete necessary continuing education to stay compliant.
  • Experience:
  • Previous counseling experience in a correctional setting is preferred.
  • BLS Certification:
  • Must hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Background Checks:
  • Subject to a background check, security clearance, and drug screening as part of the employment process.
