Vital Edge Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our remote, full-time team. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify clients' mental health challenges and formulate therapeutic goals.
  • Deliver evidence-based individual and group therapy to clients across the lifespan, addressing disorders such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related conditions, and stress management.
  • Craft personalized treatment plans that reflect client goals, preferences, and therapeutic approaches, adjusting interventions as necessary based on ongoing assessments.
  • Provide crisis intervention and immediate support for clients in acute distress, leveraging de-escalation techniques and safety planning.
  • Facilitate psychoeducation sessions to equip clients with knowledge about their mental health conditions and coping strategies, enhancing their self-management skills.
  • Maintain meticulous client documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, including evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards in practice, ensuring client confidentiality and informed consent throughout the therapeutic process.
  • Demonstrate cultural competence, adapting therapeutic approaches to respect and acknowledge the diverse backgrounds and needs of clients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers, to provide holistic care and ensure continuity in treatment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse client population, including children, adolescents, and adults grappling with various mental health issues. The community health clinic environment allows you to engage with individuals from numerous backgrounds, each bringing unique challenges and strengths. You'll play a vital role in establishing trust, using empathy and active listening skills to build meaningful relationships that facilitate healing and personal growth.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current state licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
  • Proven clinical experience with a solid foundation in evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to connect with clients effectively.
  • Strong ethical standards and commitment to maintaining professional integrity.

Preferred Experience
