Position Overview

Empathy Edge Psychological Services is seeking dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselors to join our dynamic team. This full-time remote role allows you to provide vital therapy services while working from the comfort of your chosen environment. With a commitment to improving mental health outcomes for our clients, this position requires a proactive and compassionate professional passionate about delivering effective therapeutic care.

About the Organization

Empathy Edge Psychological Services is a fast-growing mental health community located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, focused on providing innovative and exceptional therapy services. Our mission is to promote optimal mental wellness among individuals with diverse mental health needs. We pride ourselves on our team of licensed therapists dedicated to fostering a supportive environment conducive to healing and growth.

Work Environment

As a fully remote position, you'll enjoy the flexibility of creating your own work environment. You will connect with clients virtually, which allows for a personalized and comfortable setting for therapy. Our outpatient office model means you will predominantly be providing services to clients seeking mental health support outside of a hospital setting. This innovative approach promotes accessibility and convenience for both clients and therapists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health needs and formulate appropriate treatment plans.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based practices, tailored to each client's circumstances.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of therapy sessions to track progress and inform ongoing treatment strategies.
  • Collaborate with other mental health professionals and school staff to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
  • Provide crisis intervention as necessary, effectively managing clients in distress.
  • Stay updated on the latest mental health practices and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance therapeutic skills.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with clients from diverse backgrounds presenting with a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, and trauma-related disorders. Our clientele includes both adults and youth, often referred through schools and community organizations, allowing for meaningful and impactful engagements in individuals' lives.

Qualifications
  • A Master's level degree from an accredited institution in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or a related field.
  • An active and unrestricted license (LICSW, LMFT, LMHC, PsyD, PhD) to provide unsupervised mental health therapy services within the state of Massachusetts.
  • A minimum of two years of professional experience providing clinical psychotherapy to individuals, especially adults.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and familiarity with other evidence-based treatment methodologies.
  • Proficiency in conducting intake assessments and developing individualized treatment plans.
  • Strong writing skills to accurately document therapy sessions and client progress.
  • A clean professional record without any disciplinary actions from any licensing board.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, between USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additionally, we offer a sign-on bonus for newly hired therapists. Benefits include a health insurance stipend, flexible scheduling options that allow you to choose your own hours, and a referral program to foster community growth. You will also receive support for professional development, helping you to expand your clinical skills and career trajectory.

Career Growth Opportunities

At Empathy Edge Psychological Services, we believe in fostering professional growth and development. You will have the opportunity to participate in continuous training, workshops, and seminars aimed at enhancing your therapeutic tools and approaches. As we grow, internal advancement paths will be made available, empowering you to take on leadership roles in the organization.

Why Join Our Team

Joining Empathy Edge means you are part of a passionate team committed to making a real difference in the mental health landscape. We prioritize both the well-being of our clients and our therapists, offering a culture of support and collaboration. The flexibility of remote work, combined with a commitment to high-quality care and professional development, empowers you to thrive in your role while achieving a healthy work-life balance.
