Position Overview

Empowerment Edge Counseling is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in a full-time, remote role focused on providing essential social services within a school setting. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify clients' social, emotional, and environmental challenges, utilizing a variety of assessment tools and methodologies.
  • Develop individualized service plans that include measurable goals, intervention strategies, and a system for monitoring progress.
  • Provide evidence-based counseling and support to individuals and families facing challenges, employing approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused therapy.
  • Work collaboratively with clients to identify strengths and connect them with community resources and support services.
  • Offer timely crisis intervention, risk assessment, and safety planning for clients in acute situations.
  • Engage with community agencies and organizations to coordinate services and advocate for clients’ needs and rights.
  • Participate in outreach activities to raise awareness of agency services, specifically targeting schools, community centers, and local events.
  • Engage actively in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing professional training sessions to enhance collaborative practices and shared learning.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on serving students and their families within the educational system. You will work with diverse populations, including children facing behavioral issues, families dealing with socio-economic challenges, and individuals in crisis due to domestic or community violence. Our goal is to create a supportive and nurturing environment where clients feel safe to share their challenges and work towards solutions.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required to ensure a strong foundation in clinical practices.
  • Active and unrestricted state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Strong understanding of social justice issues, trauma-informed care, and community resources is essential.
  • Excellent communication, cultural competency, and problem-solving skills are crucial for effective client engagement.
Preferred Experience
