Job description

Job Overview:
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct, one-on-one behavioral intervention services to clients under the close supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA). The RBT implements behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition programs to support client progress in communication, social, adaptive, and behavioral skills.
Duties:
  • Implement individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans as written by the supervising BCBA/BCaBA.
  • Provide direct ABA therapy services to clients in clinic, home, school, or community settings.
  • Collect accurate and objective data on client performance and behavior during sessions.
  • Utilize evidence-based ABA strategies, including reinforcement, prompting, shaping, and behavior reduction techniques.
  • Assist with teaching communication, social, self-help, play, and adaptive living skills.
  • Support reduction of maladaptive behaviors using approved intervention strategies.
  • Maintain professional, therapeutic rapport with clients and caregivers.
  • Participate in required supervision, team meetings, and ongoing training.
  • Communicate client progress, concerns, and session outcomes to supervising clinician.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and ethical standards.
  • Complete all session notes, data entry, and required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Follow clinic policies, safety protocols, and ethical guidelines at all times.
