Position Type: Independent Contractor (1099)

Location: Louisiana (Remote)

Schedule: Part-Time | Approximately 15-20 Hours Per Week

Compensation: Competitive Contract Compensation (Assessment Pay + Clinical Supervision Stipend)

Position Overview

HCO Behavioral Health Services is seeking experienced Licensed Mental Health Professionals (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT) who have a passion for clinical excellence, mentorship, and developing future behavioral health professionals.

This unique part-time contract opportunity combines behavioral health assessments with clinical supervision responsibilities, making it ideal for clinicians who enjoy leadership, quality assurance, and supporting the professional growth of emerging providers.

Rather than carrying a traditional full therapy caseload, this role focuses on conducting approximately 5-8 behavioral health assessments each week, providing clinical supervision to provisional and non-licensed behavioral health professionals, reviewing clinical documentation, and helping ensure high-quality client care throughout the organization.

Position Summary

Successful candidates should be able to commit approximately 15-20 hours per week and enjoy balancing direct clinical work with leadership and supervisory responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities

Clinical Assessments

  • Complete approximately 5-8 comprehensive behavioral health assessments per week
  • Conduct assessments via telehealth
  • Complete assessments accurately and within established documentation timeframes
  • Develop appropriate clinical recommendations and treatment recommendations

Clinical Supervision

Provide supervision and oversight for assigned provisional and non-licensed behavioral health professionals, including:

  • Monthly individual supervision sessions
  • Clinical consultation and case review
  • Documentation & progress note review
  • Treatment plan review
  • Clinical guidance and mentorship
  • Performance feedback regarding documentation quality and clinical practice
  • Review documentation for clinical accuracy and compliance
  • Ensure documentation meets payer, organizational, and regulatory standards

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

  • Active Louisiana license as one of the following:
    • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
    • Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • License in good standing
  • Ability to provide clinical supervision under Louisiana regulations
  • Excellent clinical judgment
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Reliable internet connection and private workspace for telehealth services
