Behavior Job information

What jobs fall under behavioral care?

Jobs under behavioral care include roles such as behavioral therapist, mental health counselor, behavior analyst, and case manager. These positions involve developing and implementing treatment plans for individuals with behavioral or mental health challenges, often requiring relevant certifications like BCBA or LCSW and skills in assessment and intervention. They are commonly found in clinics, schools, or community settings.

Common Search & ComparisonOften searched alongside behavior therapy rolesCompared for certification requirements and clinical responsibilities

Behavior Jobs encompass a broad range of roles related to behavior support and intervention, often with varying credentials. Behavior Analysts are specialized professionals with advanced training and certification, focusing on assessment and designing behavior intervention plans. While both roles work in similar environments, Behavior Analysts typically have more formal qualifications and clinical responsibilities.

What is the highest paid RBT?

Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) typically earn between $15 and $25 per hour, with the highest salaries reaching around $30 per hour in some regions or specialized settings. Factors such as experience, certifications, and working in high-demand areas can influence pay rates, but RBTs generally do not earn salaries significantly higher than this range without advancing to supervisory or specialized roles.

What careers use behavioral psychology?

Careers that use behavioral psychology include behavior analyst, clinical psychologist, school psychologist, and research scientist. These roles involve applying principles of behavior to modify or understand human actions, often requiring training in psychology, data analysis, and certification such as BCBA or state licensure.

Is BCBA higher than RBT?

A BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) is a licensed professional who supervises and designs behavior intervention plans, and typically holds a master's degree and certification. An RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) is a paraprofessional who implements behavior plans under supervision and requires less training. Therefore, a BCBA is considered a higher-level role with more responsibilities and qualifications than an RBT.
