About the Job

As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you'll provide one-on-one ABA therapy in diverse environments such as homes, schools, and community settings.
In this role, you'll follow individualized behavior plans designed by a supervising BCBA, deliver direct instruction, collect and document data, and maintain professional relationships with both families and team members. Responsibilities:
  • Provide Applied Behavior Analysis intervention to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or related exceptionalities.
  • Provide intervention as outlined in the client's program by the associated BCBA.
  • Collect and display data in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Assist in updating client program as instructed by the associated BCBA.
  • Implement behavioral procedures for inappropriate/maladaptive child behaviors as instructed or as outlined in client's program.
  • Maintain records in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Notify management of emergencies or significant incidents; suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation; and/or changes in client status in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Arrive to appointments, meetings, trainings, etc. at the scheduled time.
  • Return phone calls, electronic mail, and other correspondence in a timely fashion.
  • Conduct self in a professional manner and treat all clients, customers, co-workers, and others with dignity, respect, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Follow all clinical and administrative policies and procedures.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Preferred bachelor's degree. High School Diploma or working on bachelor's degree in special education, early childhood education, speech/language disorders, psychology, or related field.
  • Satisfactorily completed a minimum 40-hour RBT certification course from an accredited institution.
  • 1 year experience working with children.
  • Proficient in English. Bilingual (Spanish or Portuguese/English) preferred.
  • Dependable and passionate about helping children and adolescents.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and car insurance. Ability to get to and from appointments.
  • Must have successfully passed criminal background screening.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
