This is a fully remote position. The work hours are 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM Arizona Time, and will include one weekend day.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a full quality check on various types of financial documents at the time of creation, as well as after various changes from the client, before they are filed with the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) and/or printed

  • Compare converted documents to the original documents received from the client, ensuring that the text matches

  • Proofread and verify that spelling, grammar, style, and alignment are correct and consistent throughout (including job numbers, page numbers, headings, etc.)

  • Make sure all logos are correct and of the highest quality

  • Mark identified changes directly on the printed PDF proof

  • Identify and resolve routine issues using established guidelines and escalate exceptions appropriately

  • Manage an individual workload effectively and contribute constructively to a collaborative team environment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience

  • 2-4 years of professional proofreading experience; experience in financial printing, regulated communications, or financial-document production is strongly preferred

  • 2-4 years of typesetting, publishing, document production, or quality-control experience; reviewing documents with tracked changes and comparing source files against converted or final-output files

  • Demonstrated proficiency in written English including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and style consistency

  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies in text, formatting, layout, pagination, graphics, and data

  • Ability to maintain focus and accuracy while reviewing complex financial, technical, and mathematical content

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and the ability to review PDF and HTML files; familiarity with Adobe

  • Familiarity with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing requirements or other regulated-document workflows

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize work effectively, and meet short turnaround times in a fast-paced production environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to build positive working relationships with co-workers and internal clients

  • Ability to work flexible and extended hours during peak seasonal periods

Hourly compensation range $22.00 - $26.00. Bonus Eligible.
