After School Care Assistant

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

  • CPR and First Aid certification and/or ability to be trained and certified
  • Attend required training sessions  
  • Provide care/assistance to students
  • Tutors students individually or in small groups to reinforce and follow up learning activity
  • Assists teachers to maintain discipline in a positive manner
  • Keeps daily logs on students when requested
  • Attends assigned professional development and implements new practices successfully
  • Well organized and takes initiative
  • Responsible, strong work ethic, flexible
  • Good communication skills
  • Maintains satisfactory attendance
  • Meets a minimum of "satisfactory" on all sections of the performance evaluation
  • Enjoys working with young children
  • Complies with Corporation Bylaws, Policies and Employee Handbook

  • Plans, prepares, and carries out activities for before school care program
