Location: Baden Academy, Baden, PA

The Beaver County YMCA is looking for qualified individuals for the Baden Academy Before & After School Program. This is a great opportunity for recent high school graduates, local college students or for people looking for a secondary income. This position is on a 10-month calendar and runs for the entirety of the Baden Academy school year.

The Before School Program daily shift is from 6:30 A.M to 8:30 A.M. The After School Program daily shift is from 2:30 P.M to 6:00 P.M. It is not required for staff members to work both shifts in a single day, but staff are asked to be available for three shifts between the two programs per week.

The Assistant Group Supervisor will be responsible for assisting with the planning, development, and implementation of all classroom activities (such as gross motor games and exciting art activities), being responsible for the safety of the children at all times, including understanding and being able to implement emergency procedures as necessary.

An Assistant Group Supervisor shall have attained one of the following qualification levels:

  • A high school diploma OR one of the following preferred:
    • A general educational development certificate and thirty (30) credit hours from an accredited college/university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field.
    • A general educational development certificate, including six hundred (600) or more hours of secondary training described in (PA Code) 3270.319 (relating to age and training).
    • A general education development certificate, fifteen (15) credit hours from an accredited college/university in early childhood education, development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 1 year experience with children.
    • A general education development certificate and completion of a post-secondary training curriculum described in 3270.31. (PA Code)
    • A general education development certificate and 2 years' experience with children.

An Assistant Group Supervisor will also need to be able to pass a state and federal background check.
