Job description

RPG Developer

Looking for someone who can take direction, code RPG, looking to work 8-5 CST can be flexible, taking code specifications, developing code, making modifications, demoing the code, testing the code. Using RPG, using some SQL on IBM-MI. Potentially using API. JSON creation to call APIs and send data to Azure, knowing how JSON works on the IBM-MI. Ideally someone used to working in a scrum type environment. Daily standups as they complete their work, picking up new tasks. Have old legacy code, straight RPG all the way up to SQL, do SQL tables and views, modules and service programs would be very beneficial. Prefer to have several years experience, need to hit the ground running.

A lot of legacy stuff but doing a lot of new stuff with JSON API developments. Using some latest stuff on the IBMI. Looking to go cloud first.

Mainly looking for their experience. Json. APIs. Have they worked in batch as well as interactive processes. Being able to de-bug and work with business teams. Helpful is working in the transportation industry.

1 hour to go through general questions, technical questions, etc. 1 and done with an Architect and Sr. Developer.
