To keep up with business demands in our market, we are looking for additional sales professionals, who will be trained to become Account Managers with assigned sales routes. The ideal candidate would have sales experience (preferably selling beer or other beverages) and should be organized, enthusiastic, competitive, self-directed and possess an outgoing personality!
Primary Responsibilities
โ€ข To promote responsible consumption of Bill's Distributing, Ltd products
โ€ข Produce written objectives for every account, on each assigned route
โ€ข Understand and perform the structured "Sales Process" in each account as required
โ€ข Understand and adhere to company Sales and Merchandising Standards, as well as supplier equity standards
โ€ข Operate within all assigned sales budget parameters
โ€ข Develop and maintain excellent rapport with all assigned accounts
โ€ข Maintain adequate inventory levels in all assigned accounts
โ€ข Communicate to customers any product price changes as needed
โ€ข Complete and submit a daily sales report
โ€ข Collect money from assigned accounts, in accordance with the state law and Bill's Distributing Ltd policy
โ€ข Adhere to company standards regarding route book and vehicle maintenance
โ€ข Sell-in and conduct on-premise promotions, as needed
โ€ข Maintain and adhere to proper call frequency and established call times
โ€ข Recommend and conduct cooler sets to ensure proper space-to-sales for all BDL brands in each and every account per supplier equity standards
โ€ข Maintain current and extensive product knowledge of all BDL products
โ€ข Possess understanding of all BDL product code dates
โ€ข Understand and adhere to all BDL policies and procedures regarding product quality per supplier equity standards
โ€ข Monitor all competitive activity and report findings as needed
โ€ข Successfully complete an on-going required training curriculum.
โ€ข Deliver "hot shots" (beer) as required
โ€ข Sell all products/packages, without personal bias
โ€ข Perform other duties, as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing or business-related field preferred
  • 2 or more years of sales experience preferred
  • Or equivalent combination of education and related work experience

Necessary Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Demonstrate high levels of professionalism
  • Strong analytical, organizational, planning and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet all deadlines
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift/move case product or materials, up to 170 pounds occasionally; use hands for phone or computer work; reach with hands and arms for various activities; sit frequently or for extended periods

Working Conditions/Environment
  • Not a desk job! Work is primarily performed at customers' locations, including stocking or auditing product in a refrigerated cooler at times
  • No required nights or weekends
