Job Summary 

The Draft Technician ensures that retailer draft accounts receive efficient and regular draft cleaning service, and that this service is of a high degree, bearing in mind the requirements of retailers.  

Day Shift / Company Car / Monday - Friday!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  1. Adhere to account service schedule and assignments, as directed. 
  2. Maintain records of suppliers’ draft accounts receiving this service. 
  3. Record appropriate information on each call, as required, and make other reports as necessary. 
  4. When performing draft cleaning service for an account which has more than one tap, ensure that at least one tap remains in operation for use by the account while completing cleaning service. 
  5. Assume responsibility for accomplishing the following cleaning procedures:  
  6. Un-tap keg. 
  7. Remove faucet and set aside, usually in soaking bucket. 
  8. Connect pump to shank or standard assemble unit. 
  9. Place keg tapping device, with other beer line connected to it, in cleaning bucket. 
  10. After mixing cleaning solution, pump cleaning solution through lines. 
  11. Pump clear cold water through lines. 
  12. Remove and clean keg tapping device and reconnect device to lines. 
  13. Break faucet down and clean. Replace parts as needed. 
  14. Remove pump and clean coupling and assemble. 
  15. Replace faucet to assemble. 
  16. Re-tap keg and draw beer until clean. 
  17. Clean working area paying attention to cleanliness of the standard and faucet. 
  18. Initiate clean out tag in duplicate and have retailer sign.  
  19. Be prepared to install neon signs and other promotional point of sale, if requested. 
  20. Constantly monitor beer department in all assigned accounts, looking for opportunities to increase sales and distribution. Remain informed of all current and upcoming promotions. Update/complete tap survey at each assigned account, including competitive taps. 
  21. Be knowledgeable of Sales department’s strategies and objectives for all accounts. 
  22. Participate in Molson Coors Draft Certification program. 
  23. Participate in supplier quality assurance programs. 
  24. Responsible for ensuring all time worked is properly and accurately recorded utilizing the appropriate, designated modes of timekeeping. 
  25. Maintain open and clear communications with the owners, managers, and other employees of the Company. 
  26. Comply with all relevant company policies and procedures outlined in the KEG 1 Iowa, LLC Employee Handbook. 
  27. Conduct all activities in accordance with local, state, and federal liquor control regulations.
