What does a beer distributor do?

A beer distributor is a company or individual responsible for purchasing beer from breweries and delivering it to retailers, bars, restaurants, and other establishments. Their main role is to ensure that a wide variety of beer brands are available to consumers by managing inventory, transportation, and sales logistics. Distributors also handle compliance with state and federal alcohol regulations, marketing support, and sometimes promotional activities for the brands they carry. They serve as an essential link in the supply chain, helping breweries reach a broader market while ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Do beer distributors make money?

Beer distributors generate revenue by selling and delivering alcoholic beverages to retail outlets, and their profitability depends on factors such as sales volume, pricing, and operational costs.
