Job description

Heavy Seas Beer is looking for a Brand Ambassador to join our Sales Team and help grow visibility, awareness, and sales of the Heavy Seas brand.
Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Brand Ambassador will serve as the face of Heavy Seas Beer in the their assigned market, building authentic relationships with retailers, bars, restaurants, consumers and community partners. This role is responsible for increasing brand presence through account support, market execution, sampling events, grassroots marketing, and local partnerships while working closely with our distributor partners and internal sales team. 

The ideal candidate is outgoing, self-motivated, highly organized, and passionate about craft beer, with a strong understanding of territory's neighborhoods, hospitality industry, and local event scene. 
Responsibilities Include:
Market Development

  • Build awareness and affinity for Heavy Seas throughout assigned territory
  • Identify opportunities to expand distribution and increase visibility in target neighborhoods and key accounts
  • Develop relationships with local bars, restaurants, retailers, and community organizations
  • Support distributor sales representatives in opening new accounts and growing existing business
  • Serve as a local resource for account feedback, market trends, and competitive activity 


Account Support

  • Conduct regular market visits to ensure strong execution of Heavy Seas products
  • Monitor pricing, merchandising, tap handles, displays, point of sales materials, and product availability
  • Assist accounts with merchandising, menu placements, promotional materials, and retail activations
  • Maintain relationships with key on-premise and off-premise accounts through regular visits
  • Communicate market opportunities and account needs to the Director of Sales and distributor partners

Brand Activation and Events

  • Represent Heavy Seas at festivals, tastings, tap takeovers, beer dinners, community events, and promotional activations 
  • Coordinate and execute sampling opportunities that introduce consumers to the Heavy Seas portfolio
  • Assist with planning and executing territory-focused marketing initiatives and grassroots campaigns
  • Ensure all events are executed professionally while delivering exceptional consumer experience

Distributor & Team Collaboration

  • Work alongside distributor personnel during ride-withs, market blitzes, and promotional activities
  • Support distributor incentive programs and sales initiatives
  • Share market intelligence, competitive insights, and consumer feedback with internal teams
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing Team to ensure consistent brand messaging and execution
  • Maintain accurate records of account visits, activations, and market activity

Skills / Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous experience in beverage alcohol, craft beer, hospitality, sales, marketing, or brand promotion preferred
  • Strong knowledge of assigned terrirtory, including key neighborhoods, accounts and hospitality venues
  • Strong knowledge of the three-tier alcoholic beverage distribution system
  • Ability to collaborate with distributors and fellow Heavy Seas employees
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced executional environment
  • Self-motivated with a passion to win
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable speaking with consumers and representing the Heavy Seas brand at public events
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and the ability to travel throughout the assigned territory
  • Nights and weekends as needed to achieve goals

Physical Conditions:

  • Ability to lift and transport up to 50lbs
  • Ability to maneuver 160lbs (full half-keg of beer)
  • Ability to stay seated for extended periods of time
  • Ability to stand and move around for extended periods of time
