Job description

The Trim Sales Representative is responsible for driving company revenue by developing, managing, and executing sales strategies for beef trimmings. This role oversees trim sales coordination, pricing, routing, and documentation while cultivating strong, longterm customer relationships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with the Processor & Logistics Sales Manager to develop and execute annual sales plans for beef trimmings.
  • Identify, manage, and grow a customer base to increase volume, revenue, and brand recognition where applicable.
  • Expand customer relationships through consistent communication and service.
  • Collaborate with AB Foods’ grind operation to balance internal trim needs with external customer demand.
  • Evaluate sales plan performance, analyze data, and adjust strategies based on market trends.
  • Forecast and communicate trim availability to the sales team.
  • Regularly engage with accounts to negotiate pricing, share market insights, and promote products.
  • Manage inventories and sell all beef trimming categories, including 50’s, 75’s, 80’s, 90’s, shank, plates, loin tails, and others.
  • Support sales of edible and inedible boxed beef products as needed.
  • Work closely with sales, pricing, and planning teams to stay aligned on market conditions and trends.
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork, professionalism, and integrity.
  • Travel occasionally as required.
  • Maintain reliable, consistent, and punctual attendance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the beef industry.
  • Proven success in trim sales with the ability to work independently and stay selfmotivated.
  • Strong working knowledge of beef and pork products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
