Job description

Job Title: Assistant Manager

Job Department: Golden Bee

Job Pay Range: $60,000.00 – 65,000 / Annual salary

Job Summary:

As a Restaurant Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for helping lead front-of-house operations, uphold luxury service standards, and support the general manager to deliver a high-end culinary guest experience. You will mentor staff, manage guest relations, and ensure seamless communication between the dining room and the kitchen. Learn more about The Broadmoor here.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include following. Other duties may be assigned:

 

  • Direct daily operational procedures for opening and closing duties, manage table rotations, and lead the team during peak service hours.
  • Greet guests, monitor satisfaction, and handle special requests or complaints with grace and professionalism.
  • Manage, train, coach, and support restaurant staff through daily line-ups, on-going training; maintain team morale and effective communication regarding policies and progressive discipline when necessary.; also upkeep rigorous fine dining standards.
  • Assist with shift schedule team members to ensure correct staffing for service, also reservation systems, inventory counts and control, and ordering supplies.
  • Assist with interviewing and training new recruits.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of food products and preparation, trends, wine, and beverages while abiding and enforcing Colorado liquor laws.
  • Assist with restaurant finances including budgeting and growth of revenue streams.
  • Ensure complete compliance with The Broadmoor guidelines, operational procedures, safety policies, and institutional standards for excellence (Forbes Travel Guide and AAA Five-Diamond).
  • Maintain a willingness to learn about The Broadmoor’s history, estate grounds, wilderness properties, culinary offerings, and retail outlets.
  • Execute additional duties and responsibilities as required.

What we are looking for:

 

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent.
  • Previous experience of one to three years in hospitality and restaurant administration is highly preferred; however, an equivalent combination of relevant education and professional background will be considered.
  • Ability to directly supervise front of house and back of house team members.
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office tools for documentation and email communication.
  • A highly motivated team player who connects easily with colleagues and drives results through positive energy and seamless collaboration.
  • Excellent communication skills, negotiation, conflict resolution and ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 50 lbs. with assistance and proper safety practices.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required by the calendar of events.
