Job description

Overview
PALM BEACH, FL - NATIONWIDE SEARCH: A wonderful Palm Beach family is seeking a polished, professional, energetic, Spanish-speaking career nanny to join their long-standing household team and provide exceptional care for their four young children. Fluency in Spanish is an absolute requirement for this position, as the family is committed to continuing the children's bilingual language development. This is a fully staffed, team-oriented household where collaboration is key. The ideal candidate will have experience working alongside a hands-on, active mother and will thrive in a supportive, team-oriented partnership. The household includes several additional long-term staff members, including a cook, housekeeper, and butler/chauffeur, who work seamlessly together to maintain a smooth, organized, and welcoming home. The schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., although the children's school schedules make the weekday rhythm much more manageable than those hours may initially suggest. The nanny will also have a two-hour break during the day to use entirely as her own, whether to go to the gym, rest, run personal errands, or simply recharge.
The eldest child is in first grade, the twins attend a full-day primary program, and the youngest attends pre-primary from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. After pickup, the youngest typically has lunch followed by a nap. The nanny will generally leave the house around 2:00 p.m. for afternoon school pickups, with the primary hands-on time with all four children falling between approximately 3:00 and 6:00 p.m. on weekdays. During the hours when the children are in school, the position will naturally transition into more of a family-support role alongside Mom. Responsibilities may include assisting with family travel planning, researching and organizing children's activities, helping with food preparation, managing the children's schedules and organization, and tackling other child- and family-related projects that help keep daily life running smoothly. The family is looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being useful, proactive, and involved and who is comfortable stepping in where needed rather than requiring a rigid separation between traditional nanny responsibilities and general family support.
The family would also greatly appreciate weekend flexibility. The nanny will receive two consecutive days off each week, with the specific days coordinated between Mom and the nanny based on the family's schedule. Pre-planned weekends off can absolutely be arranged, but candidates should ideally be comfortable with a flexible schedule that may include Saturdays and/or Sundays. That said, if regular weekend work is a dealbreaker for an otherwise exceptional candidate, the family is open to arranging separate weekend support.
Responsibilities will include assisting with morning routines as needed, school pickups and transportation, children's laundry and organization, food and meal preparation for the children, and maintaining their belongings and spaces. The nanny will also plan creative, educational, and physically engaging activities, including arts and crafts, music, outdoor play, swimming, sports, and age-appropriate outings. Strong communication and coordination with Mom and the rest of the household staff will be essential to maintaining a well-structured and harmonious environment. Evening routines are an important part of the day, with the children's dinner typically served around 4:30-5:00 p.m., followed by baths and the beginning of bedtime routines around 6:00 p.m. The ideal candidate will be confident managing multiple children and sibling dynamics and able to bring calm, structure, and consistency to busy transitions.
The family leads a very active, outdoorsy lifestyle and loves bike rides, swimming, sports, and spending time in nature, so the nanny should be equally energetic, physically active, and hands-on. They are looking for someone patient and confident who genuinely understands young children and can balance warmth and playfulness with clear, loving boundaries. This position also involves domestic and international travel. The family typically spends June in the United Kingdom and August in Maine, along with frequent weekend trips to their residence in Albany, Georgia, from November through January. Candidates must be comfortable traveling with the family and adapting easily to changing schedules and environments. A valid driver's license is required, and TSA PreCheck approval is ideal.
The family has one Labrador, with additional dogs at their Georgia property, so candidates must be comfortable around animals. Twin experience and/or a background in early childhood education are highly valued. Someone who is musically inclined, creative, athletic, or particularly enthusiastic about planning enriching activities would also be a wonderful addition to the household.
Above all, the family seeks someone loving, energetic, intellectually engaging, flexible, and highly professional-a career nanny who brings positivity, creativity, sound judgment, and calm authority to the household. The right person will understand how to work collaboratively with an involved mother and an established household team while also being proactive enough to recognize what needs to be done and take initiative without waiting to be asked. Compensation ranges from $125,000-$150,000 gross annually, inclusive of anticipated overtime, and will be paid legally via payroll as a W-2 household employee. The position also includes industry-standard benefits, including two weeks of paid vacation, five paid sick days, and paid holidays. Additional benefits can be discussed based on the candidate and overall compensation package.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic, Spanish-speaking career nanny who is looking to become an integral part of a warm, respectful, and sophisticated household and make a meaningful long-term impact on the children's lives and development.
