Based in Los Angeles, BD&J is California’s leading personal injury law firm. With over $2 billion recovered for our clients, we pride ourselves on providing compassionate, results-driven representation. We are currently seeking a professional and organized Legal Secretary to support our litigation and legal teams with high-quality clerical and administrative assistance.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong administrative background who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented legal environment.


Responsibilities include:
• Draft, proofread, and format legal documents and correspondence
• Prepare and file documents with state and federal courts (including e-filing)
• Maintain and organize physical and electronic case files
• Schedule appointments, depositions, court dates, and meetings for attorneys
• Answer and route phone calls and correspondence in a professional manner
• Assist with trial preparation, document assembly, and exhibit organization
• Ensure deadlines are tracked and met according to court requirements
• Perform general administrative duties such as scanning, copying, and managing mail


Skills & Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a legal secretary (personal injury experience preferred)
• Knowledge of California court rules and litigation procedures
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
