Job description

At Blackburn, Childers & Steagall (BCS), we believe a career should provide more than technical experienceโ€”it should deliver purpose, fulfillment, and meaningful connection. We are seeking an experienced SeniorTax Associate who is ready to take the next stepโ€”serving clients at a higher level while mentoring others and contributing to a collaborative, engaged team.

At BCS, relationships drive everything we do. We foster a culture of engagement, teamwork, and shared success, where professionals are empowered to grow, contribute, and feel genuinely connected to both their work and their team.

Why BCS?
  • Competitive salary
  • Retirement plan options
  • Flexible work schedule
  • Family-Friendly, team-focused culture
  • Opportunities for career growth and advancement

This is a place where professionals donโ€™t just advance their careers โ€” they build lasting relationships and find fulfillment in the work they do every day.

What Youโ€™ll Do
  • Prepare and review individual and business tax returns with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness
  • Apply fundamental principles of tax law and standardized tax preparation procedures to more complex tax matters
  • Provide tax and accounting-related consulting services to clients
  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships through professional, responsive communication
  • Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, engaged work environment
  • Ensure compliance with all Firm, Federal, and State regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Analyze financial statements and apply strong general accounting knowledge
What Weโ€™re Looking For
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Accounting (required)
  • 4โ€“7 years of tax experience, preferably in public accounting
  • CPA license or progress toward CPA strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Our Culture in Action

Our culture is built on engagement, collaboration, and trust. We believe the best work happens when people feel connectedโ€”to their team, their purpose, and their clients. At BCS, youโ€™ll find a workplace where:

  • Team members support and learn from one another
  • Success is shared and celebrated
  • Leaders are accessible and invested in your growth
  • Your work contributes to something meaningful and lasting

Whether itโ€™s collaborating on complex client needs or supporting each other through busy season, we strive to create an environment where people feel valued, engaged, and excited to be here.

Join Our Team

If youโ€™re looking for an opportunity to grow professionally, deepen client relationships, and be part of a connected, purpose-driven team, we want to talk with you.
