Job description

Position Summary:
Dispenses medications and pharmaceutical supplies in accordance with New York State law, Federal law and the standard policies of the department. Compounds, dispenses and maintains inventory of chemotherapies and biologic medications for use in the infusion center. Facilitates communication with infusion center and pharmacy staff to optimize workflow and prevent delays in patient care. 50% of time will be spent dedicated to the role of oncology pharmacist and the other 50% of time will be spent performing clinical staff pharmacist duties.
Educational Requirements/ Qualifications:
Current New York State Pharmacy license and registration required. Completion of PGY2 Oncology Residency and/or Board Certification in Oncology (BCOP) is preferred. In lieu of residency/board certification, at least 1 years of time spent preparing/evaluating chemotherapy regimens is required. Familiarity and experience in developing processes and procedures to meet USP 797, USP 800 and all other regulatory requirements for compounding sterile preparations is required.
